NWS News
February 15, 2010—NW-Systems,
Inc has entered into a strategic mentor-protégé partnering agreement
with Tessada & Associates, Inc. Tessada’s Business Empowerment and
Strategic Teaming (BEST) Program promotes the profitable growth,
self-determination, and economic well being of 8(a), SDVOB, Woman-owned,
and other businesses through a strategic teaming relationship.
Through this private Mentor-Protégé Program, NW-Systems, Inc will have
access to a variety of informal mentoring services including business
development, operations, and general business support. January 8, 2010—NWS is happy to announce that Mr. Denis Roy has been selected to fill the Program Management Office (PMO) Director position. Denis started with NWS in May 2005 providing contract support for the Intelligence Community (IC). He was promoted to Program Manager overseeing three IC support contracts and has become an integral part of the NWS management team. As PMO Director, Mr. Roy will work closely with the NWS Executive Team to ensure all contracts are properly staffed, managed, and funded. Everyone at NWS is excited about Denis joining the corporate staff. March 19, 2009—NWS was awarded a 5-year administrative services contract supporting the National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Cancer Institute's (NCI's) Immediate Office of the Director. NWS will provide system administration, documentation and correspondence control, travel and meeting support, procurement, and scheduling/briefing book management for the NCI Director and staff. February 1, 2009—NWS is happy to announce our graduation from the 8(a) program. NWS experienced tremendous growth during its participation in the 8(a) program, seeing a 750% increase in revenue and a 950% increase in staffing levels. NWS remains a small business and will compete for small business and full and open opportunities. We look forward to continuing our outstanding support for our Government and commercial clients. August 22, 2008—TheNational Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has awarded Administrative Support Services (AdminServ) contracts to provide administrative and secretarial support throughout NGA. The contracts to facilitate the program were awarded to NWS and partners, with the contract becoming effective on Sept. 1, 2008. To implement AdminServ, NGA awarded four Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for supporting management. The total value of the contracts is potentially $102 million. Each contract covers approximately a five-year ordering period of one base year and four one-year options. Future task orders will be competed between the companies holding an IDIQ contract, as appropriate. The work will be performed at major NGA locations. The AdminServ program consolidates requirements previously acquired via other expiring contract vehicles. The AdminServ program will enhance productivity and ensure continued competition, while reducing the total overall cost of support. Additionally, the program will provide access to a large pool of appropriately cleared administrative personnel that will provide administrative assistants, senior secretary and secretary support to NGA management. |
