We are happy to announce Mr. Jesus Rivera has been selected to fill the Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Executive position.
With NW Systems, Inc. expected growth and strategic plans, it became important to ensure the right executive team was in place to provide increased hands-on leadership for the day to day workings of NWS’ core business departments and contracts. Jesus has been providing invaluable strategic leadership and guidance to the organization and brings a wide range of Information Technology (IT) and Intelligence Community (IC) management experience to the new role. As the VP/COO Jesus will work very close with the Executive Team and Program Managers to ensure all NWS contracts are properly staffed, managed and funded.
Jesus started with NWS January 2002 on the GeoScout (GS) Contract. He has held several management positions since he started as a Sr. Systems Engineer. He performed the duties as the GS and AdminServ Program Manager, then Director of Information Technology and lastly Vice President/Chief Information Office. He brings almost nine years of Geospatial Army Experience, 17 years of total IT/management experience and holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from Virginia Tech as well as a Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems from Strayer University.

NW-Systems, Inc has entered into a strategic mentor-protégé partnering agreement with Tessada & Associates, Inc. Tessada’s Business Empowerment and Strategic Teaming (BEST) Program promotes the profitable growth, self-determination, and economic well being of 8(a), SDVOB, Woman-owned, and other businesses through a strategic teaming relationship. Through this private Mentor-Protégé Program, NW-Systems, Inc will have access to a variety of informal mentoring services including business development, operations, and general business support. In addition, NW-Systems, Inc and other BEST Program participants can serve as prime contractors in a teaming relationship, and/or serve as subcontractors to each other to address various small business participation requirements.
